When Sian joined Slimtone she was overweight, had arthritis in her knees which meant she couldn’t walk and was totally fed up of feeling so yuck! Since Valentine’s Day she has lost over 5 stone and now, thanks to Slimtone, she’s just where she wants to be!
“I joined Slimtone on Valentine’s Day! I’d had a lot of health issues over the previous 3 years and was turning 60. I thought if I don’t do something about it now, when am I going to? It really was only me that could sort it and I needed to give myself a kick up the backside.
Everyone was so welcoming!
My best friend recommended Slimtone and the class was local, so along I went. The most difficult thing was walking in through that door for the first time and standing on the scales. But I didn’t have to worry – everyone was so welcoming and encouraging, after that first moment, it was all OK.
I’ve lost 5 stone and although I still have arthritis, it’s nowhere near as bad. I can’t run a marathon, but I have much more energy and I love walking. I look and feel better in my clothes. I’m a size 12 now and haven’t been that since I got married! I get such a buzz when I walk past a mirror and catch a glimpse of myself. And I love the comments from my work colleagues, family and friends.
Slimtone is great
Everything is there for you in the Lifestyle Plan – the calories are already counted and all the nutrition is sorted too. Nothing is off limits, you simply need to count it.
I love everything on the Plan, particularly with all the fresh vegetables and lovely salads. I’ve always liked a Chinese or Indian takeaway – now I make a ‘fake-away’ and really like the Slimtone curry. The soups are ideal too. Carrot and Coriander is my favourite. It’s so filling and almost no calories! It’s such an easy recipe and really is no effort to make, great for when you’re on the go.
Just do it!
If you want to lose weight my tip is to just do it. Go along to a Slimtone class, there’s no need to be afraid. Marie is always available for a chat and the support from the other members in the class is tremendous. It’s like a little family and I’ve made some lovely new friends. Life is full of ups and downs and if you have a dip, you’re not made to feel guilty. The low G.I. plan is great if you’ve hit a plateau and are stuck – a real boost to get you going again.
I joined Slimtone with my best friend, Nicola, and we’ve shared this journey together. We’ve supported each other and it’s been good to have company. I couldn’t have done it without her. I’m just where I want to be now and I definitely want to keep feeling this way. Thank you Marie and Slimtone!
