This is our last blog post for 2022 – can you believe how quickly this year has gone! It has certainly been a busy one.
Thank you to all our class members who shared their healthy eating journeys. I know they inspired so many of our class friends to continue on their own journey and reach their goals.
2022 was also a year of special celebrations. I had a special birthday AND we celebrated 40 years of Slimtone in June. When I opened that first class in 1982, I never imagined that Slimtone would still be thriving in 2022 – we even kept going throughout these last two years of disruptions!
Back in 1982, my intention was to help people to help themselves achieve lasting weight loss and improved health. It was also to make it fun. And that’s what we’re continuing to do today. I’m looking forward to even more celebration milestones in the future!
Slimtone is always there to support you. I’ve enjoyed putting together a new talk in class every week and published a blog post almost every week too. These run alongside the hints and tips we share in class and on Facebook. The mainstay of our healthy eating plan, the Slimtone Lifestyle Plan, has had a comprehensive 2022 update to keep everything fresh and new. There were, of course, some additional “specials” to help you on your way – we started the year with the Choose ‘n’ Lose plan to give everyone a New Year boost; published a special 40th Anniversary Slimtone booklet with highlights from the last 4 decades; and closed the year out on a 6-week Countdown to Christmas!
And it doesn’t stop there – let’s start 2023 with a positive mind to become more healthy and active. Research says that maintaining this type of lifestyle helps not only with your physical health, but also your mental well-being too. Classes restart on Monday 9th January 2023 – you’ll find a list of venues and times here
There’ll be a new Slimtone plan for everyone coming to class in January which will focus on healthy eating on a budget – I know you’ll love the ideas, tips and recipes we’ve gathered together!
Here’s wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in January.
